dialup and the iPhone

I am getting an iPhone soon, and I am just wondering, what differance would it make if i setup my iPhone through a dialup connection? will i run into problems? will setup go slower? please help.

You have a wireless router hooked up to a dialup modem?

Also, I believe the EDGE network is probably faster than a 56k. I might be wrong.

Check out the original AirPort base station.

Definitely faster, especially in a larger market. 56K dial-up was theoretical anyway.

I would guess activation over dial-up would work fine, but really not sure. :)

As long as you have a stable dial-up, activation should be fine... just don't do it if your modem drops connections often.

91mb restore downloads would take a while though, so I wouldn't suggest modding the phone unless you don't mind the wait every time Apple updates the software.
