I am trying to download ebooks onto my iPhone. I use sendspace and Ishareit on the iPhone, which does fine at downloading the ebooks.

The problem is, setting the phone to receive the downloads. According to the ebooks developer, "Books.app looks for files in an EBooks directory, within the root user's Media directory."

Can someone please explain the directory structure to me? I have used Winscp to look at the directory, but I did not see a Media directory. Also, how do I find the "root user" directory.

This may seem basic but I am struggling with it. Help would be welcomed!

The two user directories are as follows:

/var/root/Media/
/var/mobile/Media/

Those folders are somewhat like Windows (Vista) c:/Users folder (and XP's /Documents and Settings folder).

Since the Books apps is not currently mobile user aware, ebooks need to go here:
/var/root/Media/EBooks/

When and if it gets properly updated books will go here instead:
/var/mobile/Media/EBooks/

If you know how to create symbolic links you could create the folder in mobile and have a symlink back to it in root.
