The second iOS 8.1 beta has gone out to developers, and it reveals some Apple Pay screens.

I'm sure I'll be labeled a geek for saying this out loud, but I'm kind of looking forward to taking a snapshot of a credit card with my iPhone's camera and watching as the card gets automagically placed into a digital wallet (lovely term, amiright?). And this despite having previously—as a matter of fact, some years back—having taken a snapshot of a physical check in order to deposit the funds into my bank account via that bank's iOS app.

Word on the street is that Apple is already working not only on iOS 8.2, but also on iOS 8.3.

Let's hope that these upcoming updates don't turn off cellular service and/or Touch ID.

For me, Apple Pay is the biggest 'feature' of iOS 8 and the new iPhones. Funny that the main feature isn't available when the phones were released. That didn't dull enthusiasm for the iPhone 6. I use my phone to pay at Starbucks and love it. It's so incredibly convenient. If Apple Pay is on par or better, which I expect it will be, it'll be a hit.

Everybody knows that the biggest "feature" of the new iPhones was the free U2 album, and we all know that that was quite available. A little too much so, some would say.

I'd like to try the betas, but this new phone isn't registered and I don't feel like paying the 8 bucks to register it.

Eh. Never downloaded it and was never pressured to do so. I think I got one email announcing it and that was it.

Interesting how we all seem to have had different experiences getting the album.

I was very happy to have gotten the album pro bono. I did not receive an e-mail about it. The songs did not show up in my library. And since I wasn't watching the keynote live, I didn't see that sublime moment when Tim fingered Bono onstage to transmit the album to the world.

I feel that I wasn't pressured enough to get it. :D

I had to post here on eiC asking for assistance because I couldn't see the album.

It wasn't a feature of the new iPhone but a feature of iOS 8. I had it in my iPhone 5.

Well, it seems to have solved the rotation issue in Safari that was really irritating me. Seems smoother overall. Haven't tested it too much yet.
Ok, please continue testing dilligently and get back to us iff you have something significant to report vis-à-vis your 8.1 beta 2 experiences. Thanks in advance. :D

Are you talking about the phone not rotating into landscape? It's happened to me a couple of times. Had to reboot. So you're saying 8.02 seems to have fixed that issue? (I hope)
