Doesn't $165 seem high for 700 minutes

I have AT&T and my bill runs about $165 every month. I have the 3g, unlimited texting and one cheap phone (with no data or texting) for my wife. Is it me, or does that seem high? Especially for only 700 minutes? The only thing saving me is the rollover minutes. What is everyone else paying?

Yes, that does seem rather high. We have 2x V1 iPhones with data plans, and we share 500 minutes. No upgraded text packages, though. Even adding that and the additional expense of the 3G plan, however, we still wouldn't pay that much, I think. Our bill is $116.18 every month.

My bill is $177 for my gf and I. We have 700 minutes, unlimited text, and two 3G iPhones with unlimited data plans.

When I had the family plan with 700 minutes we paid on average $178.00 with unlimited data and text with two iPhone 3g's. The 700 minutes was not enough so we went up to the 1400 minute plan. Our last bill was $218.24 and our current bill due ont he 20th of March is $204.51 - that will be on or around what our bill will be per month with 1400 minutes and unlimited everything.

Well, I guess mine is right in line then from the sounds of it. You'd just think you'd get more minutes for that kind of money.

Voice Plan for 700 shared minutes...includes first 2 lines
Voice: $70.00
3G Data $30.00
Unlmtd Text: $20.00

So your bill should be $120.00 + applicable taxes usually around 10 bucks so somewhere in the neighborhood of $130.00. Your first bill will be higher due to prorating and activation/upgrade fees.

I have 5 lines, 2 X $30 data plans, Family Messaging $30, insurance on my wifes Blackberry and 700 minutes and still squeak in right at 200 bucks, so yeah, unless this is your first bill/first bill after upgrade or your wife is texting a lot without a plan or using data without a plan...I think it's a bit on the steep side.

You are looking at your bill so what individual charges don't make sense?

so thats about $130 bucks, so with taxes and all the hidden surcharges I guess mine is right. I'll just have to look it over real close.

That does seem high to me. I have a similar situation as you except I have the V1 iPhone and pay for unlimited texting which carries over to my wife's phone since it's a family plan. I pay right around $125 give or take a dollar. I would think your bill would only be $10 more since you have a 3g data plan.

Thanks. I need to sit down and spend an hour going through the bill.
