Don't want to put my music from iTunes on my iPhone

I have nearly 1000 sounds on my iTunes, I don't want to put them on my iPhone,but every time I connect my iPhone to the computer the music starts transferring on to my iPhone! How do I stop this? Is there something that I should click to stop this from transferring? Thanks guys :)

You should be able to go into iTunes and select manually manage music.
That should stop the auto sync.
That would also allow you to go in and manage what music u do want sync'd, since I suspect the reason you don't want your entire library is that you are trying to save memory.
Or you could just get a 64GB iPhone and not worry about it....

In iTunes select your device, go to the Music tab and un-check the Sync Music box.

Or you could just get a 64GB iPhone and not worry about it....
LOL, I did that and as I expand my music library I find I'm down to only 2GB free! I'm even syncing down to 128 kbps. At the rate I'm going I'll have to go back to selectively syncing playlists/artists/albums soon.

Yes, it is working. All you have to do is to edit your settings/preferences on iTunes.
