Downloading text messages

    Just wondering if it's possible to download my text messages from my iPhone 4 to my windows based PC.

    i wouldn't mind knowing how to do it myself. My gf is upset her phone deleted our very first text messages. She wants to keep them for whatever reason

    I think you can do it if your jailbroken, and install iPhonebrowser on your desktop....give it a shot.

    Try DiskAid for yer Mac (not sure about PC). It's free if your a student or educator. Not sure if they have a free trial. Edit - yeah it does do PC & text message transfer.

    Yes it is. Tap and hold on the post, tap more and you will see a "like" button. That is the new "thanks".

    Thanks canamera. I'm clueless when it comes to terminology. Not sure what "jailbroken" means but I'll download iPhonebrowser and try anyway. Thanks:)

    If your phone isn't jailbroken, then iPhonebrowser won't be any good for you.

    I don't think you'll be able to do what you want without being Jailbroken...atleast your in the right place to start learning. Do a search for jailbreaking...you should find lots of good reading material.
