WOW! The prices for the iPhone v1 have taken a drop on Ebay. That doesn't really surprise anyone. Hey the v1 is still a good phone? :laugh2:

indeed. what do you guys think is a realistic price to get on an iPhone v1 now? debating selling mine ahead of the 3g rollout, but not sure what i could even expect. 100bux for a iPhone 8gb? maybe a bit more if i unlock it?

i'd give it to my girlfriend, but she loves her BB

I expected a dip in eBay prices but now that the 3G is so cost effective the prices might drop even more. However, we're still a month away from a new phone and people may not know of a new phone and if they do they may be worried that it is unlockable.

That is a good price but right now any auction about to end with 'iPhone' in the search and it being an UNLOCKED version is over $300...

It will be interesting to see how low they go between now and July 11. I wonder about the left over supply of iPhone v1 at the AT&T stores will the prices drop? I know the store in my area still has some 8gb's

Oh I didn't think about the leftover iPhones at AT&T stores. Apple has been out forever now but I know there are still stock in some AT&T stores.

I would not call the 1st Gen iPhones Worthless yet. If you think about it, 3g is not yet unlocked. Many Tmobile users and others may still want the first gen.

Of course they are. The auctions started and were bid upon before the new 3G phone was announced.

It's only been a couple of hours since the 3G phone was announced. Give it a day or two and they will collapse quicker than Bear Sterns!

T-Mobile users will be snapping up a lot of AT&T sloppy seconds for next to nothing. They're going to get some good deals on iPhones now. ;)

This is a good way to pick up one cheap. I sold my iPhone 8gb two weeks ago for 375.00 and now using the blackberry curve and waiting for July 11th.

Have you heard about that phobia that has started due to eBay?

It's about how people go into a bidding frenzy during the last few minutes of an auction. People go so bidding mad, they will often bid more for the product, than what it would cost brand new in the shops.

Scary man!
Thats why I downloaded this program along time ago for ebay, that enters your at the last possible millisecond of the auction so that their is no way the other bidder can get theirs in:p
