I did a search but didn't find anything on this topic.

Scenario. I'm sending a text message. It's late in the conversation. I've just typed and sent my message. I want to read back to review the convo. How do I get the keyboard to disappear so that I have a full screen to work with, other than going out of the message and then back in? Possible?

I've been trying to figure this out too. The only thing I've found is to back out of the conversation to the list and then reselect it.

You should be able to press anywhere on the conversation to remove the keyboard.

edit: nm, that doesn't work :p

Doesn't work for me. The keyboard remains. Does this work for anyone else?

Go back to the message list and then back to the conversation you want

This really is an annoying 'feature' - I text quite a bit and find it a waste of time to have to step back like that. Hopefully this will be addressed in future updates.

All you have to do is scroll from center of screen or anywhere above the keyboard and scroll down and the keyboard will scroll allowing the screen to show just the conversation

Things probably changed a bit in the 8 1/2 years since the OP asked this question. LOL

I tap the caret in the upper left corner to go back to the contacts list. Then tap the contact name again. It goes back with the keyboard at the bottom.
