sorry if this is in the wrong thread but it kinda walks the line between a couple different threads. If there are security issues with iPhones over wifi networks, what about AT&Ts edge network? Is it possible for personal information sent through cell phone towers to be intercepted and stolen or is it safe to, say, order stuff with my CC in the middle of nowhere?

I agree. Unless I really had to go to a website that would require me to provide personal information online (ie credit card or banking sites) because I wouldn't be able to do so with my regular home computer and/or a different private computer that I trust, I wouldn't do it with my iPhone.

It all depends on the website you are using and what encryption that site uses.
