If you have a Mac then use terminal..

Applications>Utilities>terminal

then at the cmd line...

ssh user@ipaddress

user is the user you need to login with and IP address *should* be the address of the phone

it will then prompt you for a password, which I do not know b/c I haven't modded my iPhone......... yet :p

cheers

Winscp and i also tried proxy
Make sure you have SCP selected in the dropdown window in WinSCP... Also, try usings Putty.... its not a simple drag and drop like Winscp, but its a start to trying to find out the issue. Also, make sure the port is allowed in your firewall settings.

Any idea why its not letting me type in the password? I type in root. that goes through, then when i "attempt" to type dottie it doesn't let me type in in...? any ideas?

Theres been tutorials and things of that nature already created, just search for them and your set.

You can also try modmyiPhone.com and go to the Mac forum for modding.
