I've never heard of anyone installing a driver from a computer to an iPad. Can you explain exactly what you're trying to do?

    Hi
No I'm not installing to iPad what I mean is when I plug iPad into the computer for the first time, it recognises it as an iPad and installs the drivers for it automatically, I've never had a problem before in over 6 years and multiple iPhones and iPads. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the apple drivers in device manager both selecting search web and search machine and while it installs the drivers it says not installed correctly. I'll give some of the suggestions in the links you sent me a try.
    Regards
    John.
