Hi ! i haved updated 10 days ago my original os version of the iPhone 3gs(16gb) from 4.3.3 to 4.3.5,but i lost the house-energy...and ...the iPhone is in continuing Dfu mode.
i tryed to recover the original backup and the firmware 4.3.3/4.3.5/4.3.8(?) :
---iphone2,1_4.3.5_8L1_Restore.ipsw
---iphone2,1_4.3_8F190_Restore.ipsw
---iphone2,1_4.3.3_8j2_restore.ipsw
...but but i obtained only 3194 and 1611 errors with stop...
...i tryed with IFaith to more info and he sayd: "unknown IOS detected on this device.Aborting".

Tyniumbrella not recognize the Device model and the SHSH,but only the ECID...
...i suppose the OS is corrupt while updating...anyone can help me?

The hosts file needs to be set to Apple for 4.3.5 and Cydia for 4.3.4 and lower. You'll get 3194 errors if it's incorrectly set. iFaith is used to backup an old firmware for an SHSH that you're currently running. It won't be of any use to your right now. Do you already have any SHSHs for 4.3.3 or lower?

i don't have any SHSH file ...only ipsw. Now i know my last firmware ,is 4.3.3(but i don't have never used cydia o jailbreak)
my file host :
# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
#127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com

The SHSHs get backed up in Cydia; you don't need a file. Your hosts file is set to restore to 4.3.5. All other firmware version restores will fail (even if you have a SHSH for them) until you remove the pound sign that precedes 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com. Do you remembrer seeing any SHSHs listed in Cydia? TinyUmbrella will tell you if you don't remember.

Try restoring to 4.3.5 again and post your error code if you get one. Your hosts file is set correctly for 4.3.5, so you shouldn't get error 3194.
