"Fill It In" Bug?

I have had a problem that has recurred numerous times, enough times that I want to do something about it if I can. Nearly every time I have the iPad fill in my e-mail address, the address is not accepted. As I look at it, it IS correct in appearance, but time and time again, when I hit "Submit", it comes back with invalid e-mail address. If I retype it, exactly as it was, it works. What do you think?

When this happened to me, it turned out that one of the dots was actually a comma.

At least in my iPad settings, my e-mail address is correct. I don't know if this fill-in address comes from my settings or from the last time I entered my address. I would assume it is from my settings. I appreciate your input. That was a good idea, just not the right one for me.

I have a bellsouth address and I noticed it was auto correcting it to bell south.
