I have an old iPhone 6 that I've given to a family member. The last time it was used my daughter used it in Spain. It has a different SIM card and locked by a password my daughter can't remember. Is there a way to reset the phone to be used? I know it will need a new SIM card.
    Suggestions welcome.

If you refer to the Apple ID password, you can reset it if you have her other info like the ID email address and security question answers. Without that info, you can't use it. If you still have your reciept for the purchase of the phone, Apple might unlock it for you. If you refer to the passcode that unlocks the phone to open, you would need to restore the phone with iTunes in DFU mode. But you would need the Apple ID to set it up.
