I could get a brand new ATV for $72 right now. A5 processor makes me want I wait until the new one comes out. Thoughts?

Get it now, A5 will make little to no difference.

What do we do with the ATV anyway? Do you think more speed will make any difference?

Since I could be running those devices I mentioned earlier at the same time .....more speed is better.

There's no ATV 4th generation yet, rumor has it that the 4th gen will have te ability to play simple games sort of like the Roku but those are just rumors.

Can the current ATV mirror any games that we have on our iPhone 5S/iPad Air?

Yes you can mirror your whole phone, some apps disable that functionality. For specific apps see their descriptions.

Hmmm. It would show anything my iPhone has on the screen? Apps, web pages, etc...?

According to the description it would mirror everything. I don't have this cable so I can't speak to the specifics and would rely on the product description.

ATV sounds more tempting since it's wireless.

Can ATV mirror whats on my laptop? I ask because I watch NBA games on a free website. If not the only thing I can think of is getting a Chromecast. I know that would work.
