Are you certain that he entered your email address correctly?

Process time then probably. I ave only gifted an app twice and didn't pay attention to how long it took for the recipient to receive it.

I've always found gifting apps to be instant.

so, it's possible for the process to take some time?
I mean, more that 2 days.
I'm considering that Apple employees are busy prepping for christmas.

It's an automatic service. If you haven't been charged, gift the app again.

    hmm...
I don't know if he have been charged or not.
because he didn't get iTunes receipt.
    I'll contact him back.

He won't be charged, you will be charged. Are you gifting an app to someone in the same country as you? For example, I'm British so I can only gift an App to another Britsh App Store Account. If I were to gift an app to an American iTunes account it wouldn't work.

    hmm...

I think that both of us have the account of the same country.
    I'll confirm that after this.

    by the way,
can I report to Apple regarding this?
    if possible, how?

If you haven't received an invoice it's highly likely that the gifted app hasn't worked. If you've gifted the app and received and invoice but if the recipient of the gifted app doesn't receive said app you can report this. On the invoice itself you will have an itemised list of the things you've purchased. Next to these items there is a 'Report a problem' link - click that and report your problem.

In my honest opinion the problem you've posted sounds like the gifted app hasn't been gifted, simply try again. I gift applications to my partner all the time, they are 99% of the time instant, the rest work after about 5 minutes.

If you can see the purchase in your purchase history and haven't yet been charged I'd say your gifted app is pending. I would contact iTunes support.

Maybe something wrong with his account? Not enough funding? Maybe the expiration update?

Your best bet is to send iTunes an email, they usually respond within 24 hours, they are the ones that know for sure what's going on.
