Glitch - should we return this phone too?

    This happen some times but not all the time. This is sons 64GB Black iPhone5 ?

    imutter could be software related(not saying it is, but possible). Have you tried restoring the device as new and then recording the video? I know that it's tough for something like this to restore as new and see if it fixed it, since it doesn't happen all the time, but it's something that would need to be tried out before Apple would replace it.

    Unless you go to an Apple Store that is, over the phone I wouldn't replace it(if I were the over the phone support rep you got) based on it happening sometimes unless it happens after a restore as new. However, if you go to an ARS, they probably would replace it no questions asked, since they have stock available to exchange right then and there.

    WE have plenty of Apple stores around
    We done restore etc. first thing we do.
    I actually thought it was gone because I could not recreate it.
    Grrr he needs his phone next week he is on weeklong school trip !

    I would take it to Apple with the video and tell them that you've had it happen x amount of times and that you tried restoring as new but the issue persists. Let them know that the issue came back after restoring as new but it is intermittent. They shouldn't have a problem replacing it, and I definitely would since it shouldn't be happening like this(clearly).

    imutter That sucks! WTF! Sorry to say Apple has dropped the ball on this one. Definitely get that exchanged. You at least have the video and still pic to prove there is an issue.

    No 64GB in stock. That is terrible. Are you going to hit another Apple store? Do you have time?

    Girdler has excellent advice in what to say and of course Apple should give you a new iPhone because this shouldn't be happening.

    Yeah bad luck! They did a diagnostic and camera is bad
    The guy Shaun was very nice so. He checked for water damage first, what is probably proper procedure.
    They ordered a new 64 GB phone. I have plenty of stores around but no time. Son has TKD tournament and he is leaving Monday for his week long camp. I told the guy if the phone come in, they have to hold it until he is back. They only keep them for 3 days after they call you!
    He also told me without the video and pic I couldn't have gotten a replacement.
    He said he had not seen that issue before and passes this issue on.
