You don't want to cover up beauty like that!
You also don't want to drop it on concrete and smash the screen and put big dents on it. I'll protect my investment with a case. If I want to admire the phone, I'll remove the case and take a long gander at it. Then put the case back on. ;)

I also don't want an ugly, bulky contraption on my phone. If I'm that worried about dropping it I would buy Apple Care.

I do think that this rendering is ugly as well. Really an iStick?

Not a fan of that one personally. I would rather the curved edges be on the longer edges. I am in the case less club. Don't like covering up nice looking iPhones.. Dropped my 4 once on concrete. It survived, have yet to drop my 5 knock on wood lol...

Design is one of the least of my concerns for the iPhone. They all look good to me. I just want it to perform well and do things I want it to do with great battery life.
Apple is known for design. How can you say you don't care all that much about the way it looks? Innards are important but so is the exterior. No one would buy a Ferrari if the engine was dropped in a 1980s Yugo, even if they tightened the body up.

I said I wasn't concerned with the design. I didn't say an ugly phone would be ok. I have every confidence that Apple will make a nicely designed iPhone 6.
