Might be a dumb question, but did you put your original AT&T sim card back in after you got it back>?

What did the repair ticket say?

Also, why did you use Anysim, I thought you were on AT&T anyway?

In any event AFAIK there is still no way to get back to full functionality if you used Anysim.

because a friend was helping me out on this and he said it would be the only way to get service working. And I should be entitled to full functionality considering im paying 80 dollars a month for a 500 dollar phone.
And my repair ticket didn't say the warranty was invalid, it said it was sent in for restore issues/ whatever else, but nothing related to the SIM issue. Plus my screen looks washed out compaired to my repair phone, like the colors arent as right... :-(

Ok i just called Apple and spoke to a product specialist, and he said go get a "blank SIM" from ATT. Then try to connect it to iTunes and it should bring up like a little mini setup screen, and for some odd reason he said that works for most customers with this error. And he said, if that doesn't work, he'll replace the phone himself.

you do realize if you unlocked it, then Apple isn't obligated to replace the phone. if they do, then that's great, but if they don't -- don't be shocked.
The 1.1.1 update bricked his non-unlocked iPhone. As Apple wouldn't help him (at the time I assume they didn't realize their own update was bricking in such cases) he tried to do what he could on his own. It was then--after he was already a brick victim--that he tried Anysim.

He deserves to get his phone replaced, no question about that.

exactly. maybe you would have more luck in an Apple store? i've heard that some "genius" are eager to just switch your old one with a new one.

"some"".... I don't think any would here. It's Cali, people can be dicks. Plus, the nearest Apple store is about..... 1 HOUR AND A HALF away! 86 miles!

Woot Woot Im Happy!

sorry :<

maybe you should move :p
lol sorry for what? and OMG im so happy! I called the dude back, and hes gonna set me up with legal documentation, and I have a 4 gig, and he said that since he's never heard of this issue, he'll replace it no problem because the SIM's not working. He said monday when they call, there gonna ask for my credit info and stuff, and said if i don't send it back that theyre gonna charge me 399.99. and thats because they don't have 4 gigs anymore, so he's sending out an 8 gig! haha so sweet!
