Happy Birthday, Macintosh! I remember when I was in college in 1992, give or take a year or two, and I remember half of the lab had Macintoshes (which at that time only offered a black and white UI) and the other half of the lab had Windows 3.1x. I always sat at the Windows side and used the Windows machines due to how "pretty" the UI was, and due to my affinity for seeing color on the computers that I used. When there was no Windows machine available, I would begrudgingly use a Macintosh, while I waited for a Windows PC to become available.

Who would have guessed that around 2004-2005 I would've ditched Windows, moved on to the Macintosh platform (my first Mac computer was a Mac Mini running OS X 10.4 Tiger), and never looked back.

Thank you, Apple, for giving us such an awesome machine.

In included the link to the macrumors.com article because I really like the picture they used, comparing the old Mac to the new one.

Moving this to the Mac OS X section, only because it deserves to be in an on-topic section. Felt Mac OS X was software and despite all of the great hardware, software plays such an important part of being a Mac.
