Uh sorry, I mean NTSF since you need it to handle files larger than 4gb

How did you format it? From the device or from a computer?

I did it from the computer. Because it was not letting me add files to the media player because it was on NTSF and for me to add files i had to format it.

Which model WD is this? Not too familiar with Mac version, but I can look around and see.
They have forums on westerns site. There might be some info in there?

If you are formatting on mac. Get it formatted on PC to NTFS is better. I use a mac and pc. Works great since all my buddies are pc and we can use same drive to mount on both and give me files to watch.

It just adds the ability to mount and use ntfs formatted drives in osx to use them for files larger than 4gb. Since that's the limit on fat32

New macs can do this.

Thought you said it was a Western Digital. No wonder there isn't any info on their website on it. Thought it may be their Live TV HUB, like I have. Have you checked to see if this noontec has a support site?
