No time frame given but it's nice to know it will come at some point.. They are a very small bank as there is only ONE location in all of Los Angeles...

I would send an email to your bank asking about support for Apple Pay. If they are not going to have any support, I would consider switching to a new bank unless that is not a deal breaker for you.

Here's what I got from my CU:

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding Apple Pay.

121 Financial Credit Union is committed to using technology to enhance the services we offer our members and the security of their personal financial information. Over the years we have investigated several mobile payment options that have come onto the market, but up until now none of them have met the convenience, capability and security standards that we feel our members require, and so have not adopted any. Apple Pay is an exciting new development in the technology, and its adoption by Bank of America will certainly drive adoption by other financial institutions.

While we do not currently have a plan to adopt Apple Pay, we will be investigating it as a part of our ongoing long-term technology plans over the coming months. Please watch out in the newsletter and our website for announcements in the coming months regarding our technology initiatives."

I've since opened another bank account that also gives me rewards.

Apple Pay is available for the Barclaycard. However, when I called to verify my card, the person that I spoke to was unable to access the website and so I have to wait until tomorrow. She said that there has been a high amount of traffic and the website can't handle all the requests. I'm sure there has been an overwhelming response.
