I'm in the process of jailbreaking on a unibody Mac OS 10.5.5 using quickpwn 2.2. Everything was going fine, until I went into DFU mode, I pressed the home and power and released them as it said, but now it's stuck on "Quickpwn is about to run on your iPhone 3G" while the spinning wheel on the Mac going for the last 10 minutes. The iPhone screen is black/off.

Should I unplug it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone?

Quickpwn won't quit. Should I try to force quit?

Unplug the iPhone. Force Quit QuickPwn. Try to get the iPhone to turn on and see what happens. If it boots up and returns to the Home Screen, try the entire process again. If it hangs again, there's another problem hidden somewhere.

Thanks,
I force quit the program and rebooted the iPhone. Everything is fine. Do you think I should just try jailbreaking it on my Windows PC instead?

I tried the process again on the Mac and had the same problem. After that I used my PC and successfuly jailbroke it :)
Since the problem occurred on the Mac during the process where it needed to go into DFU mode, it seems to me that the problem was the DFU kernel bug on the new unibody Macs. Hopefully it will be fixed with the 10.5.7 update.
