Could someone please help me find out how to change the "No Service" indicator on my iPhone? I am running without a plan so that is all I see at the top most of the time. I've tried searching, but so far the only info I have found is other posts asking for help that have gone unanswered. Doesn't *anyone* know where this information is stored?
Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

BUMP

Nobody has any idea at all?
I see all kinds of icon switching; but no input anywhere on how to change the "NO SERVICS" and "NO SIM" entries.

Bueller? Bueller?

I've been wanting to change the no service message also. But I can't find anything on it.
download this file:

http://modmyiPhone.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=163

open in a text editor.
search for the phrase you want to change.
put in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English_lproj/

using cyberduck or something like that.

if you don't know how to use cyberduck or SSH, then you need to learn how to do that first before you start trying to change strings.

hope this helps.

The NO SIM message may be an incorrectly seated SIM card. This happened to me the first time I powered on after unlock. Turn off the iPhone, seat the SIM correctly, and turn it back on.
