Alright so this thing has been bothering me for a long time even though its not doing anything I just hate to see the dam thing. When switching between apps I can catch it without the signal bars behind it and it is a blue square with a ? inside it. Ive searched around a lot and there is plenty of stuff on the same thing but in other places for example the Edge icon.

If anyone knows how to get rid of this thing id greatly appreciate it... I worked hard piecing my theme together from a ton of other themes and this dam blue square just bugs me lol...

BTW it only appears while on the home screen like below:

Have you searched for the image within your theme? You could try resetting your network settings.

ok well first off, i absolutely love your theme. i mean the amazingly hot girl in it is perfect, but i mean it looks awesome without her to. but regarding your problem, i would do what europa says, search for your signal bars image in the theme and see if its there.

Thanks for the compliment Simba. I tried searching through all of my theme files and I wasn't able to find the image. I think it's a default iPhone image and if it is would you guys know where it might be?

Heres the girl:

Mine: http://i47.tinypic.com/id98co.png

PS: If anyone happens to know this girl's name that would be great. I found the image in a random youtube video but no one seems to actually know who she is.

It's definitely a blue square with a ?. After a lot of attempts I was able to use the power/home button for a screen shot between app loading screens... Dam that was hard. It does go away when I disable my theme but yet I have searched through every folder and every image I could find and none of them look like that.

Interesting. It's like a portion of the wallpaper is a missing image (missing image icon). However, it's where the signal bars should be, so I'm thinking it has something to do with them. Have you tried removing the signal bars and wallpaper from your theme?

I just tried removing both and it is still there. Something odd though when I removed the signal bars they didn't change even after I did a respring, but if I open up an app then they do change back to the default looking signal bars. It seems like there are more signal bars installed somewhere that its using. I think I might of narrowed it down though when I enabled "solid status bar" the signal bars are now default looking. Maybe it has something to do with my transparent status bar image.

After reading your post I checked my files and you were right partially. The FSO files which are for the transparent bar (if I remember correctly) were actually all blank pictures I must of forgot to change them. So I made a completely new folder/theme option to enable in winterboard like that tutorial you linked and the square is still there:

Thank you for your help though. I'm amazed I am the only one that has had this issue and even more amazed no one seems to of ever seen this icon that is showing up but its mysteriously not in my theme folder anywhere. :D

This is a double post but I have got a solution FINALLY.... Ill post what I did to fix it in case someone finds this thread in need.

Go into your Theme folder you have enabled and open your Widget.html file in notepad.

Find:
<body>

<table><tr>

<td id="Backgrounds"> <img src="../Overlay.png"></img> </td>
Then change it to:
<body>

<table><tr>

<td id="Backgrounds"><!-- <img src="../Overlay.png"> --></img> </td>
That should fix it. Thank you for everyone's input and suggestions.
