i have an iPhone thats not working too well. i'd like to transfer everything on it to another iPhone that has older firmware...how can i do that...

    original iphone- 4.2.1 with 06.15.00
i want to transfer everything to an iPhone with- 4.0 with 05.13.04

i tried using backup and restore from backup...but the one i want to tranfer to does not see the original iPhone backups.

    both are 3g

    thanks so much

this can effect the back up as far as I'm aware , when you right click on the phone on iTunes does a "Back Up" option come up ?

As far as I know, iTunes will not let you restore to a backup that is from a newer firmware.

they both give me the option to BAKCK UP when i right click. the problem is when i try to do a "restore from backup" on the one that i wish to transfer everything to, it does not show the backups from the iPhone that i'm moving away from. so i have no way of selecting the backup i want to use. each phone only shows their very own backup.

Have you tried a desktop program called Cyder 2?
