Please help me with these questions, as much as you can answer. Thanks.

1) I'm thinking of buying a software unlocked iPhone with version 1.1.1 i heard if Apple updates the firmware (?) that it will brick it, or it will disable some applications? Is that true?

2) What are the downsides to unlocked iPhones?

3) I'll be using it with T-Mobile, anything i should know? Does it work with t-zones?

4) Will i be able to be notified when i receive an email?

5) Will the Wifi be 100% usable with any (unsecured or known password) hotspot?

6) Would it be cheaper to buy it and unlock it myself or buy it already unlocked? And where do you get locked ones (without a contract)?

Any future risks or anything else i should know before i spend $500?

Thanks a lot in advance :laugh2:
