Alright so i bought this iPhone everything works fine but for some reason, when i try to plug in my desktop logitech speakers into my iPhone, it doesn't play on the speakers, it plays on the phone's speaker phone. But everytime i plug in the ipod headphones, it plays through the headphones. Is this a hardware problem? Am i not enabling something on the phone? Help please!

Thats because the plug from your speakers is not designed for the iPhone 2g.
Your going to need an adapter.

Unfortunately on the 2g, the headphone jack is recessed into the case, so many headphones don't fit all the way in without the adapter.

Above answer is correct, the 2g's contain a recessed head jack. I had the same problem with mine.
