You folks aren't going to believe this one. Today when I was loading a few different apps I noticed a white blotch in the opening animation in the upper left corner. I did a reboot and the blotch still persisted. I did a web search and it said that if you have google maps on the second row and the second position it will cause this phenomenon. I moved the google maps icon and the white blotch disappeared. Isn't that odd?

I just moved it to the second app in the second row - no white blotch while opening apps here.

According to what I've read online, some are having this issue. It does seem to be with apps on the top two rows, and moving the affected app seems to help. Apple says it's an iOS 7 issue they're working to fix. I haven't seen it myself.

As soon as I saw the remedy I said to myself "yeah, right!" I still don't know what caused it but now it is gone. There are quite a few threads in the Apple forums discussing this issue.
