My screen locks up and Apple needs to trouble shoot. I used catagories to hide the icons. Can Apple still detect jailbreak? Thanks!

If you cant plug into iTunes and restore then restore by going into DFU / restore mode.

I can plug into iTunes but not my pc. Just set up as new iPhone? Can't I also do an erase all reset from the iPhone itself? Thanks.

You need to remove the apps from the categories, then restore and set up as a new phone.

Isn't that only necessary if restoring from a backup?

If you're just doing a full DFU restore and setting up as a new phone, it should be ok no?

To be honest, it's been so long since I've used categories, I can't remember for sure, but most likely a restore as new will be enough, bu I would be safe and remove them from the categories first.
