What happened to the sub topics (iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, 3Gs ect.....)
It was a lot better with them.

I talked chris into it. It's all my fault.

I'm still trying to get the whole iPhone section removed altogether.

Eventually all that remains will be The Official Thread.

There have been discussion threads on forum reorganization for months. Fragmented forum categories causes increased digging and less conversation. Most topics can be discussed by all. In the near future, we'll likely move to thread prefixes where users can create a 'label' if their post is model related. You'll be able to search for topics utilizing that label.

In the end, you'll find no shortage of iPhone 4S discussions here in the iPhone forum. In 10 years from now, you'll have even a greater appreciation for this move, as you won't have to spend hours scrolling to find categories.

The lack of digging also extends to the everythingiCafe app, which also played a part in my decision.

In all honestly, sites often use this breakout for SEO (search engines) purposes, which we have done here. In fact, I was one of the first doing those sorts of things. This move was made for members, not search engines. I consulted users here, outside and all the mods. I think it'll help boost activity and the new thread prefixes will help with any need to have a model specific discussion or search.
