Your computer is "dead", and you want to dumb the mp3 files...you cant have mp3 on a iPhone! But you'll need some computer and iTunes (or something else) to dumb these files off your iPhone... ;)

Correction: Yes, you can have MP3s on an iPhone, or else what would it play (besides M4As and others)?

I recommend a small Windows or Mac program called iPod Access.
Windows
Mac

It will take all the songs (or videos) that is stored on your iPhone and transfer them to your computer with ease.

The built in Ipod doesn't play MP3's technically. Also, you recommend using a windows or mac program, but if you read the question he wants to delete songs from the iPhone without using a computer. And no, this isn't possible
