How can I edit my own post in this forum if I make a mistake? Before it was possible but now I don't find edit option.

Are you using an app or are you online? I can edit in TapaTalk OK.
Just edited in Safari.
Back on TapaTalk.
To edit online in Safari, tap on "tools" and choose "edit".

Mobile Safari, in my opinion. The mobile template is very fast and easy to use. The iCafe and Tapatalk apps have too many restrictions.
But before, I don't remember when may be a year or so back, it was possible to use this iCafe app to edit and delete the posts.

In the notification area when a notification arrives there should be a shortcut so as to stop getting notifications from that app instead of digging deep in the notification settings and turn off notification for that very app off.

I moved your posts from the iOS 9 Wishlist thread to your existing iCafe App question thread.

You can still edit in the iCafe app. I just installed it to verify this. Tap your post and then select edit. Do not press and hold; just quickly tap and let go to bring up options for quoting, editing and sharing.

Europa, is there a restriction, in the app, which requires a certain number of posts before you're allowed to edit your own posts?

I just edited this post from the app by adding this sentence but I also have over 500 posts.

I don't think so. It's just that it's not visible until until you invoke it and it doesn't utilize the most intuitive way of doing this (you have to press and let go quickly rather than pressing and holding), so it can be easy to miss.
