How do I reinstall an App?

How do I go about reinstalling an App? Dropbox is not opening and the update says that if that happens one should reinstall the app and enable passcode lock. When I go to the App Store, the only option is to "Open" obviously because it is already installed but then it just bombs out again trying to open.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From what you are saying, it sounds like the app is not fully installed. Have you tried to remove it entirely from your iPad and reinstall it through the App Store? You can also do this through iTunes and then re-sync after you install the app through iTunes and set it to install on your iPad.

Press and hold the DropBox app icon. All of your apps will start shaking and a black X will appear in the upper left corner on the apps. Press the X on the DropBox app. This will uninstall the app. Now open the App Store, search for DropBox and reinstall it.
