How do I view characters for my wifi password

my macbook air connects automatically to my home network, as you know its just a series of dots, how am i actually able to see the characters if at all?

I keep mine with all my other passwords in 1Password. I may also have it in my Notes app for faster access.

Unfortunately, on the iPhone it is not possible to access this information. The passwords are kept on your phone in a safe place that is not accessible through any regular means on the phone. This is done for your protection, if you were to lose your iPhone and someone picked it up, the passwords that are stored on it would be up for grabs. This would lead to a lot of security problems.

The OP is asking about passwords on his MacBook Air, not iPhone. I tried finding it on my iMac, but couldn't. I know where passwords are saved in browsers.
