How is the "current period" measured

#1
I've had my iPhone activated for over a month now and the Current Period and Lifetime listings under "Call-Time" in the usage section are still the same? What is the current period measured by? The time from first activation to the send of that month/30 day period or does it run by calendar months i.e. July 1 -31 and the resets on Aug 1st?

Current period is until you reset it at the bottom of that page.

Sure? I'm not sure if I like that. Seems like it should be tied into your billing period so you can see how many minutes you are using. My "period" could be a week and the other persons could be one two months. Wish they could tie it into the billing period.
