No fancy extras, just the barebones voice + data plan for 2 phone lines?

I can't tell you for 2 but here is what I have.

1 iPhone
450 minutes (w/carryover)
Data plan is automatic on an iPhone and that is an additional $30/month
I have 200 text messages for $5/month.

I get a corporate discount of 15%, which really is the tax and charges.

I pay about $75 per month

I have 2 iPhones on my plan and I pay around $130 per month. That's with my corporate discounts.

There are family plans you can sign up for as well, depending on your needs. Just remember that it's still $30 per phone for data no matter what plan you decide to get, and if your SMS needs are greater than 200 a month, you'll be adding on for that as well -per phone.
I looked at family plans for me and the wife and because of the rate plan she signed up for originally, 900 minutes for 59.99, and plus my corporate discount, we couldn't actually find a plan that offered enough minutes and be cheaper than our combined total that we pay now.

So up to 200 SMS messages are included in the normal $30/month data plan? I was a bit confused by that.

Thanks,

Ernie

Actually I think initially with the 3G it's $5 for 200.

Me and my wife both have V1s. We share 450 minutes, have 200 texts included with the data plan, and we pay $116 on the nose every month after taxes and fees.

If we were to both switch to 3Gs, we would have to add $30 to that, pre-tax (+$10 each for the 3G data plan and +$5 each to get the 200 texts).

Not a whole lot, personally. She does quite a bit, though. Mostly to family and friends who are also on AT&T, so those minutes are free. We have 2559 rollover minutes at the moment. :)

So the V1 iPhone data plan included text, but the 3G phone plan does not, even though it's more money?
