Please forgive me if this information is already known by forum members. It was interesting to see when my iPhone 5 was born. If you'd like to see the provenance of your baby, please visit the site below. It is in German, but you'll see where you have to enter the serial number. From there you'll see a screen with all the pertinent information.

HA! I too found it very interesting. Apparently you're a little longer in the tooth than I am! Week 37. I still have baby teeth!

Thanks for sharing this info. My first two iPhone 5's were from Foxconn week 37 but the current replacement I have now is from week 38 September. They don't know the factory it was produced at.

So far this replacement I just got yesterday is working better. I'll give it a week and see if I have to go back and replace it again. I have my finger crossed. I had Ghost Armor put on the back and sides too, so I really want this to be the one that lasts.

Good luck with that one... Is Siri behaving better, by the way?

Now, again, why would I want to enter my iPhone Serial # on a German website?

Rafagon imutter Thanks, I hope this one works out too.

Siri is on and off, but mostly off. I just tried her again a few moments ago and she's not working. I tried her when I was walking home from my nail appointment in the rain and I got a text I needed her to read and she didn't or couldn't do it. I had to get to a dry area to read and answer the text.

I know, BooHoo! Besides the rain being an iPhone no no, where I live people get robbed all the time so the less time my iPhone spends out of my pocket the better for me. I use Siri a lot not because its a cute feature, but out of necessity.

Apple has got I get this under control already.

You could also decode the serial number yourself without entering it on a website, if you care to:

UPDATE: This does not appear to apply to iPhone 5 and later.
