Sorry folks! I am new with the iPhone always been bb user.. What I want to know is when I press the phone icon and then on keypad, I have to actually dial the number... On other phones I had, on keypad I would just type the name of the person and according to the strings of input the phone would give me the names... I find it bothersome to have to go to contact, look for the name, choose it then press on the number to dial... Any help?

Well if you go to the Phone icon, you can go to Contacts, type in their name, and the list will pop up. Or use Siri/ Voice Control, depending on what iPhone you have.

There is a search button at the top in Contacts. But the fastest way is to press and hold the home button and say "Call John Smith mobile."
