I want to monitor my iPhone from my laptop. Is there a way? I know there is a way to use your iPad as a another screen for your computer, but what I want to do is the opposite. All I just want to do is monitor the home screen page for notifications and texts. Any help? Thanks!

Remotely or around the home..? From home or on WLAN you can use Veency. It's a Cydia VNC app for iPhone, you can view your phones screen on your computer.

In the home. My phone could be in the basement and I could be upstairs for example.

So I'd have to jailbreak? Is the app free?

Okay! Thanks! And there's a JB for 5.1.1, right?

Don't forget that you will also need a Vnc viewer program on your PC. just do a search on Veency and there will be a number of links to free viewing / connection programs.

If you use a Mac you can use Chicken of the VNC. Windows, most VNC clients support this, and they're free.

Here is one way to do it. Its not ideal and really quite pointless unless your using it for creating videos similar to this one... open youtube for step by step instructions.
