How to set m4r file to ringtone folder on iPhone?

    I purchased a ringtone and downloaded it to my email/Gmail inbox on my phone. The email attachment is a m4r file... How can I move the attachment from my iPhone email to the iPhone ringtone file? Miffed! Please help.. t.s.

    You cannot download m4r files directly to the iPhone. You'll need to copy it to the 'tones' section of iTunes and sync to your iPhone.

    This tutorial on creating free ringtones provides more detail about syncing over to your iPhone.

    If your jailbroken you can add songs, videos to your media library without iTunes or using a pc, search for "bridge" in cydia.

    Its not free tho ..

    What Chris said. Can be done with a computer using iTunes.
