I just purchased a Virgin Mobile iPhone 5s 64 mg for $525. I really did not need the 64 but for a few dollars more than the 32, I thought it was worth it. Does it sound like I did ok? I know a lot of people get them for $199, but I don't want to be tied in to an expensive contract plan.

The $199 pricing is for a 16 GB. It's $399 for a 64 GB with full subsidy or $850 without a contract. Yours was $325 less than an off-contract Sprint, Verizon or AT&T 5s, so yes, you got a good deal on the hardware. The only downside to Virgin mobile is the data isn't as fast as AT&T and Verizon and the resale value isn't quite as high since the carrier isn't as popular.
