I had the 1.0.2 firmware and after a month or so the clock wasn't working when i pressed on the clock icon it would just return me to the homescreen and i couldnt change the time from Settings>General>Date and time so I thought of upgrading it to 1.1.2 i workd on doing this like 5 days and finally is completed and i used anySim to make my sim card to work and now it works i can call people but when i go to Phone>keypad and press on a number it returns me to the homescreen so i restored to 1.1.1 and than upgraded it to 1.1.2 and than used VIRGINIZE and did the prosses all over but this time before using anySim i went to Phone>Keypad to check if it worked and i pressed some numbers and it was working fine and than i used anySim and after that when i went to Phone>Keypad and pressed a number it returned me back to the homescreen again and a person called me bu the that circle which shows its loding cam and put me on the lock screen and when i opend it i saw that i have a recent and i pressed on Recents but it took me to the homescreen like i did last time and like the clock .. please anyone just help me i have been working on this for 5 days ! and i want my iPhone !

The only help I can offer you is this How To which is for using the sim card thing. But I am not a specialist in unLocking because of all the problems that goes with it. Sorry:(

I would get in touch with ChrisCarter770, he knows a lot about this.

The recents thing has happened on non-jailbroken phones as well, and can be fixed with a restore, but that is a problem for you.

You need to work methodically to rule out human errors. Risk Management for the iPhone, if you will. As stated above, let's try to isolate the problem to the iPhone first. To do that, you will need to rule out your Sim. Here in the US I was able to walk into T-Mobile and AT&T and get a new Sim for FREE. I just told them I bought a used iPhone and needed a Sim to activate it on iTunes. Hopefully you can get one for free. If not, try buying the cheapest prepaid Sim available and see if it works. In fact, if you have a friend with a Sim, borrow it and see if you can send/receive calls. If you can send/receive calls just fine with one of those three methods, you know it is your phone. You can now move on to one of the many software tutorials widely available by really smart people here on the board.

Because most of the 1.0.2 tutorials are deprecated, you will find the most support for upgrading to 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. Both can be jailbroken and unlocked, since your baseband is obviously not 4.6.

Continually clicking restore in iTunes will not solve your problem because 1.1.3 seems to be the only firmware that rewrites virtually everything. Have you tried downloading 1.0.2 to your computer, placing your phone in DFU mode, then doing the shift/click restore from that? Worth a try for sure.
