I would like to annouce that I have added a new feature on iTouchMap.com. The feature is call I Am Here . I Am Here gives you the capability to call up a map, touch/click on a spot and Send an email to notify others of where your are at. I think it could be useful on vacations, hikes, camping, house hunting trips, etc.

From my experience hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and Sequoia National Park cell phones work well on most of the trails. I've looked around on the Internet and can't find any other site that offers this capability on a mobile or desktop device.

To use it first create a profile. The profile identifies you and where you want the email sent to when you click on the map.

You can later edit your profile to add a photo about the point, add another email recipient (2 total), or change the email title and/or body. All you need to get it to work though is your initial profile submission.

The feature works on iPod Touches, iPhones, Macs and PCs.

Please let me know if you have any comments or think of something else that is needed.

Thanks,
Al
