How long have you had it? A week?

You'll get over it. If not, Darwin will take over ;)

Yeh, I agree. The keyboard will grow on you.

it takes a while to get used to it but you will. although a slideout keyboard MIGHT be nice, I'd rather have my touch screen than a keyboard if it had to be one or the other.

yeah. I miss the clunky and awkward and aesthetically displeasing keyboards of yesteryear. Other things that will be missed. Churning butter. Small pox. Model T. Analog cell phones... Ahhh... Those were the days...

I love the virtual keyboard. It's one of my favorite aspects of the phone because it offers many more possibilities than the traditional "button" keyboards.

You will get accustomed to it in time.

Practice here:

http://iPhonetypingtest.com

Do the freestyle test as it more accurately represents email or text typing. I can get 40-50 wpm on the iPhone compared to 70-90 wpm on a real keyboard. Not bad for a mobile platform, if you ask me.

My friend and I were driving to the beach the other day, she got a txt message on her phone and wanted me to answer back for her because she was driving. I was like OMG, how did I ever do this. It was so awkward to type on a "regular" phone now, it was frustrating. It made me appreciate my iPhone all over again. Typing is so much better with the iPhone but I guess in the beginning it took me a little bit to get use to it, now I can't imagine going back.

As if you're old enough to remember any of those things! :)

Speaking of analog cells... I had this one silver Motorola...that was the simplest phone ever! No phonebook, and couldnt even text message! Idk how I lived without those things...

I've had a few smartphones (treo 650, ppc 6700) and when I got the iPhone, there was almost no learning curve for me.....I felt good with it...probably better than my previous phones since there would be so many buttons on those that I never used it seemed...I just have to get a tad better with hitting the right keys but I don't miss real keys one bit.

Coming from the BB 8130 and later Instinct, I did not miss the keyboard on the 8130. The Instinct was just too much of a iPhone wanna-be and not like the real thing. I love my iPhone even though at times, I wanna throw it across my room, because of the buggy 2.0 firmware, even with the "newer" version of the 2.0, it's still buggy.

I love the virual keyboard. And looking back at my old BB Pearl, I don't know how I was ever able to type on it.
