I have iPhone and iPod. I don't want to use iCloud to share all my photos, apps etc.. Even though this feature is turned off on all my devices I still found stuff that is transferred from one another. I bought a book on my iPad and the book was automatically transferred on my iPhone. What should I do? I don't want to have any connection between my devices.

This is not a question of iCloud but of iTunes.
The objects you talk about are part of the connection of your devices to iTunes.
If you don't want any connection you have to switch off 3G and WiFi but I don't think thats in you mind.
As an alternative you must use different Apple IDs on the two devices.
    Have a nice day.

I would suggest you go into your iTunes preferences. Click on the store tab. In the middle of the page you will see information about "Automatic Downloads". You can choose here what will sync across all your devices. There is also information about syncing your library.
