I have to agree with iFixit's statement that "That little 'S' looks out of place on the new iPhone's large outer casing."

I don't like it. Why include the
ssmall.png
but omit the "6"? I don't follow the logic of that. The thing is not called the "iPhone S".

It's clear that it's a 6 variation and if it's a Plus or not. It isn't clear (by appearance) if it's a 6 or 6s. Apple is minimalistic.

Right now it is. But what if next year's 7 ends up looking exactly like the 6 and 6s on the outside?

I agree with your statement. And Apple are indeed a bunch of minimalists.
