IMAP problems...anyone else seeing this?

So I have an IMAP account that runs off a high port (10993 instead of 993). I can't get the 3G iPhone to connect to the account. It either connects to the normal IMAP port (993) or doesn't connect at all.

It doesn't seem to matter if I create the account directly on the phone or through iTunes.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I am having problems sending mail through my corporate email SMTP server. Receiving mail works fine. (Company name begins with an 'O', is that the same as yours?) My incoming port is 993 but that seems to be working fine.

It worked fine on my old iPhone under v1. Not working on 3G iPhone. Gonna try a few things and will let you know.

There is another thread where the guy is having the same problem.

I tried to see if this problem applies to all outgoing IMAP by testing it with my Gmail account. I do seem to be able to send through Google gmail IMAP/SMTP ok.

Hey, I got this to work by switching ports. 10993 was TLS which the iPhone didn't handle. On pure SSL it was okay.
