iMessage not Activating my phone number

I've tried EVERY solution I've seen online and none have worked, iMessage & FaceTime are still stuck in "waiting for activation" I can only use my Apple ID for both services but not my number. Has anyone had this issue? Any suggestions?

It's been stuck since last week, I've tried many things like turning iMessage off/on, ejecting the SIM, hard resets, removing/adding the Apple ID, wiping phone and restoring from back up, set up as new iPhone. There's more methods I've tried but they didn't work either.

I had a similar problem. Only way I got it to work was to turn off iMessages on all devices then turn it on in iPhone first.

Would it have anything to do with switching carriers and phones but having the same number? Because I went from a 4S on Fido to a 5 on Telus

I went from Verizon back to AT&T. Works fine. I assume your Mini and iPhone are on the same carrier? Not sure if it matters though....

The mini is wifi only, but back with my 4S and ipad 3 I was able to send iMessages from my phone number via my ipad
