AppSNapp underwent a significant overhaul and enhancements like:

  • Improved reliability
  • Progress indicator
  • Includes latest version of Installer.App with Community Sources installed
  • Firmware 1.1.1 compatibility only

For more info, read here.

Oh, and it's currently making preparations for 1.1.2.

Apologies in advance for the noob question, but I've been reading threads for hours and am still unsure as to the answer.

I have a 1.1.1 AT&T activated, AT&T sim iPhone and ran AppSnapp on it yesterday.
If I choose to upgrade to 1.1.2 when it hits, do I need to revirginize the phone before the update or simply restore the 1.1.1 firmware before installing 1.1.2? I didn't unlock it with an anySIM of any version, so are the baseband and seczone files still ok?

Also, on the http://www.iPhoneatlas...e-112/ update, it says, "To use AppSnapp, navigate to http://www.jailbreakme.com on a “virgin” iPhone running software/firmware 1.1.1." Do I have to actually viginize the phone before upgrading AppSNapp, and will that upgrade require revirginizing in order to upgrade the phone firmware to 1.1.2?

Thanks in advance for any help!

If you didn't unlock there there's no need to virginize, you can upgrade straight away as i'm assuming you're on AT&T?

Thanks for the help Stev, Yes I'm on AT&T, but after reading a few other posts I suppose I'll wait to upgrade until it's something other than a glorified TIFF exploit fix. Does this also mean I won't have to revirginize when a bigger update with goodies like MMS and video capture comes out? Is virginizing only necessary for people who unlocked the SIM?

Yeah virginizing is only meant for people like me who have unlocked their phones (again in most cases like Mines, where were not in the US).

You can go ahead with any update :laugh2:.
